Even when it feels like you are losing you aren’t because everything happens for a reason. This is something that I have had to learn both professionally and personally many times in my life thus far, and that many people face this face of life on a day to day basis.
There are a lot of questions, and ‘what if’s’ of life, and when things do not work out in our favor we often to always ask why. Why did this happen to me? Why am I not good enough for the position? Why did this happen to me? We as people look at ourselves when we fall short of our goals. No one likes to be the second option or runner-up, but in the world we live in everything is competitive and a competition of who is the best. It is a fact of life that not everyone can be a winner.
From a television show titled Being Mary Jane, the lead character Mary Jane Paul played by Gabrielle Union stated, “…I’ve found that being number two gives you all the glory of being at the top without all the pressures of the number one spot. See, the job of any great number two is to figure what the number one is missing, what they refused to see and what they are doing wrong.
So, you know take your time, learn, be patient, get better. You will get to where you’re supposed to be if you do the work. Because remember, if you don’t somebody else will…”, this goes tot show that being at the top is a hard title to handle. You fail to realize what you lack become complacent and comfortable with being the best that you were instead of the best that you can become. Like Gabrielle Union’s character said, “you will get to where you’re supposed to be if you do the work.”, even if it mat not happen now or as soon as you want.
There is always a silver lining to everything that happens in life whether it be in or not in your favor. Stay humble.
